Early in 2004, I received the go-ahead from online comic artist Steve Troop, to produce commissioned sculptures of his "Melonpool" characters. As the collection grows, I look forward to showing more and newer "Melonpool" works!

(NOTE: Most of these shots were taken with my less-than-state-of-the-art webcam, so I must apologize for the... um... questionable quality. Enjoy them nonetheless!)

The Time Machine

Some progress shots of one of my first orders. Mouse over the pictures to see the captions.

Stage one - the interior
Stage two - now to get the car built up around them.
Stage three - the main framework is in place.
Rear view with the sides in place
Stage four - rear fenders and equipment
Stage five - the wheels - complete with power jets
The finished work - complete with stand

This is the one that started it all. My brother commissioned a figurine for our niece, Linda, of her favorite Melonpool character - Ralphie.

Roberta Smeffenfeffer

I've made a few pieces to hang on to for reference. One of these was Roberta, since I hadn't had an order for her yet.

Jalea Bates

Having seen Ralphie, Chris Gleason asked me to take a shot at a Jalea Bates figure. We sent a scan off to Steve, and that got the ball rolling!

Sammy the Hammy

One of Sammy's fans ordered a sculpture of the Hamster 'on the hoof', so to speak.

These guys were commissioned by Steve Troop himself. They'll be viewable in person at the next ComiCon in San Diego.
